Changes in health insurance from June 2022
We draw your attention to the following legislative changes:
- The protective period for pregnant women will be 8 months after the end of the health insurance:
If the insured woman's health insurance expires in the period of 42 weeks before the expected date of delivery (the first time determined by the doctor).
Or if the woman became pregnant within 180 days of the termination of the health insurance, e.g. due to job loss, the eight-month protection period starts from the 40th week before the expected day of delivery (first time determined by the doctor).
The protection period expires on the day of the new health insurance.
- Assessment of the condition of 270 days of sickness insurance in the last two years for the purpose of entitlement to sickness benefits:
During the assessment, the period when the employee did not have an assessment basis due to the fact that he did not receive an income will not be taken into account. These are situations where the employee has an agreement on work performed outside the employment relationship, but did not perform the work and paid insurance premiums from zero income, i.e. at zero height.
The above does not apply to situations when the employee was unable to work, cared for a family member, received maternity leave and so on.
The real payment of premiums for health insurance is decisive.
- Assessment of entitlement to maternity leave within the protection period:
Insured women who will claim maternity leave from the protective period will be able to claim this claim between 8 and 6 weeks before the expected date of delivery.
