Improved „First Aid“ measure

The latest measures are in force

Statistics of positive cases of coronavirus infection in recent days are reaching records that are several times higher than in March. As a result, Slovakia has re-entered a state of emergency and the government is urgently taking new measures to reduce the risk of a pandemic spreading as much as possible.

The latest measures issued by the Public Health Office of the Slovak Republic with treat of public health entered into force on 15 October 2020 and it is related to the activities of operations and the holding of mass events. This measure completely shuts down or partially restricts the operation of selected types of services, e.g. swimming pools, aqua parks, wellness, fitness centers, cinemas, theaters, public catering operations.

The new "First Aid+" support package concerns contributions for maintenance employment for employers, including SZČO, which are employers:

○ For measures 1 and 3A, it will be possible to claim 80% of the total labor price. The monthly drawdown limit will be increased from EUR 880 to EUR 1100,

○ For measure 3B, in the case of a decrease in sales, the aid will increase to a maximum of EUR 810,

○ For self-employed under Measure 2, the aid will be increased from a maximum of EUR 540 to 810 EUR and for Measures 4A and 4B, the aid will be increased from EUR 210 to 315 EUR.

As part of the new support package, assistance for domestic tourism (restaurants, hotels, boarding houses, swimming pools, etc.) is also prepared, and facilities whose sales have fallen by more than 40% compared to 2019 will be able to apply for support, and may receive 4-10 % of last year's sales.

To apply for "First Aid +" will be possible for a period from 1st of October 2020 and applications can be submitted from 1st of November 2020.
