Our reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic

Dear Client

In light of the recent COVID-19 virus concerns, VGD SLOVAKIA would like to share with you what we are doing in response to the many challenges we are all facing.

We continue to work and deliver

We would also like to take this opportunity to address any concerns you may have regarding the direct impact to your business and to reassure you that we will continue to deliver high quality and reliable service.

To this end we have created a special task-force that is constantly monitoring the newest legislation and support measures.  Feel free to reach out to your contact person or relationship partner for a free check of how we can support you.  Our dedicated team of the task force will then get back with tailor-made reactions.  We are in this together and therefor we have decided that we will be charging favourable discount rates for the work performed by our task-force.  You can send your queries directly to our special e-mail address we have created for this purpose and we will respond to you within 24 hours:

Key policies

In addition to the usual cleanliness, contact and quarantine measures, below are some of the key policies that we are implementing which may affect on-site attendance and meetings.

  • Meetings – Adhering to the rule of social distancing, we are recommend not to have face-to-face meetings with our clients any more.  Therefor all client/contact meetings will have to be moved to “online” rather than “in person” leveraging collaboration tools wherever possible.  For this we have ample applications, such as Webex, Skype, Microsoft Teams and Whatsapp.
  • Remote Working – Most of our team members are already working effectively from home.  Nevertheless, they remain at your disposal and we will be completing all work as agreed upon.  Thanks to our already existing high level of digitisation and our IT experts, all our systems and programs are now cloud based, so fully accessible with minimal interruption and allowing to work remotely.  Also for the exchange of documents we have tools such as Tulip that we can present to you.
  • Health and wellbeing – Any team member feeling unwell is requested to stay at home, be tested if applicable, obtain medical clearance if required and work remotely.
  • Events – All events are currently postponed.  We care considering how we can move these to “online webinars” rather than “in person” formats, leveraging collaboration tools wherever possible.

We would like to stress that the policies above are a result of abundant caution rather than any sense of panic. However, this is a constantly shifting scenario so please keep up to date with announcements from the Slovak Government and public health authorities, in addition to any updates we provide you.

Information

We will inform you via our usual channels of updates on the situation in Slovakia and of any initiative that the Slovak government might take and as soon as we get some useful information that may affect the economical or financial planning of our clients, we will inform you immediately.

To this end we invite you to visit regularly our website where we are adding almost on a daily basis new content that we believe is of interest to you.
